Storage Tips
Store the open-water swimming wetsuit in a dry place.

Recommendations for use:
To prevent chafing around the neck and other areas liable to friction, apply Vaseline or a mixture of 50% Vaseline and 50% lanolin.
Fitting advice:
The Glide-Skin component used in this suit is very flexible and stretchy, but also more fragile. When putting it on, do not use your fingernails and do not pull too hard. Put your arms and legs in gradually.
RECYCLED POLYESTER The fabric inside is woven with polyester thread made from recycled plastic bottles. 1 wetsuit = 45 plastic bottled DOPE-DYED YARN: The yarn is dyed directly, rather than the fabric. This is made possible through the use of pigments that are insoluble in polyester or polyamide. This technique enables water savings of up to 60% and significantly reduces CO2 emissions.

    First tri

Was going to purchase the aptonia tri wetsuit but had non in stock at stockport decathlon. Was advised that this would be suitable for a triathlon in the uk. Seems pretty good (I have nothing to compare to) although was tight around the ankles and wrists so was a challenge to get on/off quickly. I am between sizes so went for the smaller, as i'm losing weight, which probably caused the tightness. Good range of movement when swimming and wasn't too hot when using in temperate water (18_20°C). Overall pleased with the purchase.

    Damaged before even using it

I bought the wetsuit two days ago and when I came home I noticed that there was a damaged area on the sleeve so I returned it to the shop yesterday. Today I was back in the shop and decided to take a look at the suit again, only to find the exact one I had returned back in the peg, for sale at full price with the damage still there.

I think the material is too easy to damage for general use (it lacks the protective material you normally get on wetsuits to be more streamlined for swimming) and any damage will likely quickly rip the neoprene further. My main issue is with decathlon’s choice to continue selling a product they know to be faulty. I am all for minimising waste and hate to see it ended up in landfill but it should have been discounted due to this damage if still for sale.
